Open for breakfast and lunch, the Palisade Café offers a friendly atmosphere and quality food seven days a week. Breakfast includes pancakes, French toast, and an assortment of egg entrees. Bruce Jensen, owner/chef, was born and raised in Mesa County. The Packing Shed features home-cooked food specializing in chicken-fried steak, half-pound, hand-pressed hamburgers and hand-cut French fries. Open six days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Closed Mondays. Beer and wine are available.

Owners Tom and Rose Cassabona have developed a menu that features an eclectic mix of Asian, Italian, and American with emphasis on seafood. Visitors will enjoy their wine bar, which offers an excellent assortment of Colorado wines. Period art graces the walls. The Red Rose Café has two rooms, either of which is available for parties. “Baking the world better one batch at a time,” is owner Mary Lincoln’s slogan. Slice O’ Life has been in business 27 years and is truly one of the Grand Valley’s finest bakeries. Owner Chris Millensted has been roasting beans in Palisade for several years now, wholesaling them throughout the country and retailing his products at his coffee house in Palisade. Aside from Tucan’s gourmet coffees, visitors can enjoy an assortment of muffins, rolls, and bagels — including cream cheese, eggs, and/or smoked salmon (lox) for breakfast. For lunch, try their fabulous variety of deli sandwiches and accompaniments.
