Bruce Jensen, owner/chef, was born and raised in Mesa County. The Packing Shed features home-cooked food specializing in chicken-fried steak, half-pound, hand-pressed hamburgers and hand-cut French fries. Open six days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Owners Tom and Rose Cassabona have developed a menu that features an eclectic mix of Asian, Italian, and American with emphasis on seafood. Owner Chris Millensted has been roasting beans in Palisade for several years now, wholesaling them throughout the country and retailing his products at his coffee house in Palisade. Aside from Tucan’s gourmet coffees, visitors can enjoy an assortment of muffins, rolls, and bagels — including cream cheese, eggs, and/or smoked salmon (lox) for breakfast.
